The Delmarva Medical Institute
A locally Veteran owned premier education center. It was created on January 1st, 2010 to provide training of medical courses to organizations, businesses and individuals. The owner and instructors are certified through the Johns Hopkins Hospital and/or University of Maryland Medical System. Our mission is to provide life-saving skills and training to anyone with a need or desire to learn in a cost effective, convenient stress-free environment.
Learn how to treat life threatening emergencies and manage sick and injured victims while waiting for additional help to arrive. All course curriculums are set forth by the American Heart Association and the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. Courses are taught to meet or exceed national standards and have worldwide recognition.
Our courses are medically endorsed by the American College of Emergency Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics dealing to the Endorsers, and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Why Learning CPR with an AED is Important
The best method to restore a heartbeat is by providing effective CPR in conjunction with the use of an AED.
Of course, alerting Emergency Response Personnel is essential. Brain and heart cells begin to die in approximately 5 minutes, the average... each minute resuscitation is delayed, the chance of surviving decreases by approximately 10%, thus being properly trained in CPR and early access to an AED is necessary to receive a positive outcome for the victim.
